The Marvel Comics Universe also has a long history of black superheroes that started way back in the 1960s when Stan Lee first introduced Black Panther.

Black Panther
Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Jack Kirby, he first appeared in Fantastic Four #52 (July 1966).

Afro Samurai
Afro Samurai is a character from the anime series Afro Samurai. He is the protagonist of the series and an avenging samurai who seeks vengeance for his father's death. He wields a katana as his weapon of choice, which he uses to defeat his opponents in battle.
Michiko Malandro
Michiko Malandro is a character from the anime Michiko & Hatchin. She's a young woman who has been raised in a traveling circus, and is capable of using her charm to get out of difficult situations.

Uncle Ruckus
Uncle Ruckus is a fictional character in the American animated television series The Boondocks. He is an African-American man who is an arch-nemesis of Huey Freeman and a member of the fictional "Prairie Home" community.
Sam Wilson (Falcon)

Black Vulcan
Black Vulcan is a fictional character who appeared in the Warner Bros. animated television series "Space Ghost Coast to Coast" and was voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson. The character was created by series creator and executive producer, George Lowe.
Numbuh Five
Numbuh Five, a.k.a Cree Lincoln, is the only female member of Sector V. She's also the youngest and most inexperienced, but she's one of their best pilots and weapons experts.
She has a crush on Four that she keeps secret from him—and she doesn't want him to know because she's afraid he might reject her if he knew!
Carl Carlson
Carl Carlson is a fictional character on the American animated television series King of the Hill. He is voiced by Toby Huss and first appeared in the episode "Square Peg" on November 14, 1997.
Carlson was created to be a foil for Hank Hill, as both characters share many personality traits.
Joe Gardner
Joe Gardner is a fictional character in the DC Comics universe. He first appeared in (1991) as a Gotham City police detective and member of the Major Crimes Unit.
A veteran cop, Joe has made it his mission to rid Gotham of its criminal element, which often puts him at odds with Batman and other vigilantes who do not abide by law enforcement protocols. The creators based Gardner on John McClane from Die Hard.
Dr. Joshua Strongbear Sweet
Dr. Joshua Strongbear Sweet is a fictional character in the comic strip Get Fuzzy. He is a veterinarian and he is also married to Bucky and father of Satchel.
Cyborg (DC Comics)
For many years, Cyborg was one of the most prominent black superheroes in DC Comics. The character known as Victor Stone first appeared in 1980's DC Comics Presents #26 and was created by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez. Cyborg coloring pages
Dr. Hibbert
Dr. Julius Hibbert is a recurring character in the animated television series The Simpsons, voiced by Harry Shearer. He works as a physician at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant and is Homer Simpson's doctor.
Sticky Webb ( The Proud Family )
Sticky Webb is a cartoon character from the cartoon series The Proud Family. He is voiced by Cedric the Entertainer, who also voiced Ed Wuncler III in The Boondocks.
Killer Bee
Killer Bee is a character from the anime and manga series Naruto, created by Masashi Kishimoto. He is a member of the Akatsuki and a former member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.
Mace Windu
Mace Windu, later known as The GrandMaster, was a member of the Jedi High Council during the last years of the Galactic Republic.
He was also one of the most skilled swordsmen in the order's history and a formidable challenge to his former friend and apprentice, Count Dooku.
Suga Mama
Suga Mama is a character from the Disney show The Proud Family, voiced by Rita Moreno. She is a mother of three children (Cleo, Oscar and Zoe) and a grandmother to Oscar’s son Carlos.
She also owns a restaurant called Suga's Place where her daughter Cleo works part time.
Panthro
Panthro is a character in the ThunderCats series. He is a general in the Thunderian army, and the best friend of Lion-O.
Panthro is portrayed as being both physically and mentally strong, and his actions are motivated by loyalty to his friends.
Huey Freeman
Huey Freeman is a fictional character in the American animated television series The Boondocks. He is voiced by Regina King. Huey is the middle child of Robert and Ruckus, and brother to Riley.
He's very politically conscious, often expressing his views on various subjects, ranging from gangsta rap music to the Iraq War.
Miles Morales
Miles Morales is a fictional comic book superhero appearing in publications by Marvel Comics. The character was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli, with Bendis and Pichelli launching the character in Ultimate Fallout #4 (August 2011).
Miles Morales originally appeared as an alternate universe counterpart to Peter Parker. Following this, he officially entered mainstream continuity through the "Spider-Verse" storyline where he becomes Earth-616's Spider-Man. Miles Morayes Coloring Pages
Ororo Munroe
Ororo Munroe, also known as Storm, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.
Libby Folfax
Libby Folfax (voiced by Tara Strong) is a character in the animated series Drawn Together. She is based on Luba from La Femme Nikita, as well as other characters played by Milla Jovovich, such as Leeloo from The Fifth Element and Alice from Resident Evil.
Garnet (Steven Universe)
Garnet is the leader of the Crystal Gems. She is a fusion of Ruby and Sapphire, and she has a red visor that she can use to create a laser or shoot fireballs. Her gauntlets can also be used as weapons.
Valerie Gray
The main character of the show, Valerie, is a teenage girl who is voiced by Cree Summer. She was a member of the Proud Family and was also friends with Penny Proud, Sticky Webb, and Duane "Bo" Selecta.
Donna Tubbs
Donna Tubbs is the wife of Cleveland Brown. She is a recurring character throughout the series and was first introduced in the third season. She is a middle-aged woman, who often wears a pink dress and has her hair up in a bun.
Jodie Landon
A good friend of the cast, Jodie Landon is Max Goof's sister and the only female character in their group. She is voiced by Kellie Martin (who you may recognize as a guest star on Friends).
Spyke
There is no one who can deny the importance of a good pet. Spyke Proud has a pet lizard named Leroy and he's ready to fight anyone on the playground who thinks they're better than him.
Elisa Maza
Elisa Maza is the sister of Goliath, leader of the Manhattan Clan. A human woman turned into a gargoyle by Demona during the Stone Age, Elisa joined forces with Hudson and Broadway to thwart her former friend's plans while also fighting against Xanatos and his allies.
Craig Williams
In the series, Craig Williams (voiced by Benjamin Royer) is a young boy who is the main character of the series. He lives with his parents along with his younger sister and older brother in an average suburban neighborhood.
Bumblebee (DC Comics)
Bumblebee is a teenage superheroine who has appeared in several incarnations of the Teen Titans and been a member of the Justice League. She originally appeared as Karyn Pines, but eventually took on the mantle of Bumblebee.
Oscar Proud
Oscar Proud, a black man, is the father of Trudy Proud and an avid fan of Cleveland sports. He takes a particular interest in the Indians and Browns because their logos are based on Native American cultures. His favorite team is the Cavaliers, who he roots for with his son-in-law Junior, another Cavs fan.
Cornelius Fillmore
Cornelius Fillmore is a fictional character in the American animated sitcom The Proud Family. He is voiced by veteran actor and comedian Whoopi Goldberg.
Cornelius is the grandfather of Penny and her siblings, and the son of Grandma Proud. When he was younger he went to school with his friend Dr. John Proud, who later became Grandpa Phil's boss at the hospital where he worked.
Trixie Carter
Trixie Carter is the main character of the series. She is a student at Lincoln High School and a member of the school's cheerleading squad. Trixie has an older brother named Jay Carter who works as a police officer for Los Angeles County.
Trudy Proud
Trudy Proud is the wife of Robert Proud, who happens to be a lawyer. She also has a son named Robert Jr., who is shown as being lazy in some episodes and hardworking in others.
Max Goof
Max Goof is the son of Goofy and his wife, Pimple. Max has a twin brother named Roxanne, who's just as clumsy as him but not quite as good-looking.
Max is a normal kid with normal friends and a normal life—and that's what makes him so interesting.
Shana Elmsford
Shana Elmsford is a character from the animated television series, The Proud Family. She is voiced by Kyla Pratt and was introduced in the show's pilot episode, "The Big Picture", which aired on September 12, 2001.

Static (DC Comics)
The character of Static was created by writer Dwayne McDuffie and artists Robert L. Washington III and John Paul Leon, and he made his debut in 1993 in the first issue of Static #1. Static was the first black superhero to appear in a mainstream comic book.
Cobra Bubbles
Cobra Bubbles is a fictional character from the television series Stargate Universe. He is portrayed by Ben Browder (who played Jayne Cobb in the Joss Whedon show Firefly).
Felix the Cat
Felix the Cat was an animated cartoon character, created in the silent film era. He is a black cat with white eyes and a white mouth. He wears a red bow tie, a yellow collar and sometimes has a yellow tail.
Riley Freeman
Riley Freeman is a fictional character from the American animated television series The Boondocks. He is the youngest child of the Freeman family, and his character was voiced by Regina King in the television series, but by Ashley Argota in The Boondocks: The Game.
Rallo Tubbs
Rallo is the son of Cleveland and Donna Tubbs. He is 10 years old, and his mother dresses him in clothing that fits for a much older child. Rallo is very bratty sometimes, but he does have a soft side to him as well.
Robert Jebediah Freeman
Robert is the father of Charlie Brown and his brother Linus. He also has a sister named Lucy.
Robert is a barber and often gives haircuts to children in the neighborhood as well as adults (especially Snoopy).
Tiana (The Princess and the Frog)
Tiana is a princess, a frog, and black—the first black princess in any Disney movie. She works hard to follow her dreams of opening her own restaurant. She also sings with some of the greatest musical talent in Hollywood!
Lucius Best
Lucius Best is one of the main characters in The Boondocks, along with his wife, Roberta Tubbs. He was a detective for the Detroit Police Department before he retired and moved to Woodcrest with his family.
Penny Proud
There are a few things you should know about Penny Proud. First of all, she's the daughter of Roberta Tubbs and Cleveland Brown Jr. Second, she's the main character in The Cleveland Show—a show that aired on Fox from September 27, 2009 until May 19, 2013. Thirdly: she's 12 years old (and not a teenager).
Vince LaSalle
Vince LaSalle is a fictional character in the American animated television series The Proud Family. He is voiced by comedian/actor Eddie Griffin.
Vince is a former gang member and aspiring rapper who is the father of Penny Proud and husband of Trudy Proud. Though an absentee parent, he shows his love for his family when it matters most—while he has had many odd jobs, Vince always tries to make money so that he can support them.
