Let's delve into the mind of these creators and see what inspired these pink cartoon characters.

This is a color that's associated with romance and femininity, but it's also incredibly versatile. Pink can range from pale pastels to bright neon, making it the perfect color for any cartoon character.

It works especially well on characters who are cheerful or bubbly.

Pink Panther

Pink Panther

The Pink Panther is a cartoon character created by the British studio Hanna-Barbera Productions. The pink panther, whose name is often shortened to the Pink Panther, first appeared in the opening title sequence of Blake Edwards's 1963 film of the same name.

The character was designed by Hawley Pratt and Bill Hanna based on an earlier concept drawing by Walter Lantz Studio animator Ed Benedict.

Pinkie Pie

Pinkie Pie

She is characterized as being hyperactive, excitable, friendly, and cheerful. She is also very random and silly, often making jokes and pulling pranks.

In order to keep you updated on all things pink, we have put together a list of 20+ pink cartoon characters below!

Patrick Star

Patrick Star

He lives under the sea in Bikini Bottom, with his pet snail, Gary. Being one of the most prominent characters on the show, Patrick has many characteristic traits that make him so special.

Babs Bunny

Babs Bunny, also known as Babs Bunny, is a Looney Tunes character. She is Bugs Bunny's girlfriend and first appeared in the short cartoon "Bugs Bunny Gets the Boid," which was released in 1943.

In this film, Babs was wearing a white fur coat and pink dress with white gloves and shoes.

Majin Buu

Majin Buu is a pink, jelly-like creature who has the ability to change his body composition. He can stretch, liquefy and regenerate himself. This gives him incredible strength, which he uses to destroy planets and eliminate entire civilizations.

Majin Buu doesn't have much of a conscious mind (he's more like an animal than a man), but he does have some sense of right and wrong—he's been known to show mercy on occasion.

Amy Rose ( Sonic Prime )

Even if you're not familiar with Sonic Prime, you've probably heard of Amy Rose. She's been a part of the Sonic the Hedgehog series since 1991, and has been a recurring character in comics and video games ever since.

Amy is one of many female characters that have appeared in Sonic games throughout the years—a group that includes Blaze, who's also pink! Unlike Blaze however, Amy doesn't have any fire powers or special abilities like being able to control wind or water. What she does have is an intense love for Sonic (even though he won't admit it).

Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear

Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear is a stuffed animal teddy bear that debuted in Toy Story 2

He is the mascot of the franchise, and this toy has been in every single Pixar movie since then. His name comes from how much he hugs other toys.

He's actually very nice when you get to know him!

Porky Pig

Porky Pig is a cartoon character in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons produced by Warner Bros. Animation. He was created by animators Bob Clampett and Robert McKimson. Porky is a young pig who wears a tattered blue shirt, gray pants, and brown shoes.

Starfire (Teen Titans)

You might have known her as the adorable, naive alien princess from the Teen Titans. But did you know that Starfire is actually a badass who can shoot laser beams out of her eyes?

Starfire is basically an intergalactic goddess—she has superhuman strength, flight and she can shoot laser beams from her eyes (and sometimes other parts of her body.) She's also an expert hand-to-hand combatant who knows how to take down bad guys with a single kick.

In addition to being an incredible fighter, Starfire is also incredibly kind hearted—which makes sense considering she's from the planet Tamaran (the same planet as Wonder Woman).

Piglet ( Winnie-the-Pooh )

Piglet is a small pink pig who is the best friend of Winnie-the-Pooh. Piglet's size and weight are not specified in any of the Pooh books, but he is probably about half the height of Tigger. He has been forced to flee from home many times because of his fearfulness, which often gets him into trouble with dangerous animals such as bees, bulls and snakes.

Toadette ( Super Mario )

Toadette is a female Toad in the Mario series of video games, who first appeared in the 2002 game Super Mario Sunshine. She is not to be confused with Toad, a male Toad and her cousin.

Twilight Sparkle

Twilight Sparkle was the first My Little Pony character to be featured on a Hasbro toy, in 1983. She is a female unicorn pony and one of the main characters of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. Her name comes from her ability to harness magical powers, which she uses to perform a variety of feats.

Twilight Sparkle lives in the town of Ponyville, where she lives in a treehouse and has a pet owl named Owlowiscious.

Princess Bubblegum

Princess Bubblegum is a character from Adventure Time. She is a pink princess and ruler of the Candy Kingdom. As a scientist and inventor, she has made many technological advances in her kingdom. She also has a pet named Lady Rainicorn who can turn into an umbrella whenever it rains.

Snagglepuss

Snagglepuss is one of the many pink cartoon characters who have graced our screens. He's a well-known character on The Jetsons, which ran from 1962 until 1963. He was also in Yogi Bear (1961), Huckleberry Hound (1959), and Quick Draw McGraw (1957).

If you love Snagglepuss as much as we do, then take a look at our list of other pink cartoon characters:

Kirby

Kirby is a pink puffball that can suck up enemies and then use their powers. He's been in many games, but he was first introduced in the 1992 video game Kirby's Dream Land for Nintendo's Game Boy. The little guy lives on the planet Popstar, where he spends his days eating cake and rolling around under his house.

Pink Ranger

The Pink Ranger is a fictional character in the Power Rangers franchise. The Pink Ranger is usually female and often the leader of her team. She often has a romantic relationship with the Red Ranger.

The second Pink Ranger, Mia Watanabe was introduced in 2016 as part of Saban's Power Rangers Dino Charge series and starred in Dino Supercharge & Sledge War before joining Super Ninja Steel later that year.

Pink is the color of femininity, romance and beauty. It’s no surprise then that there are so many pink characters in cartoons, comics and video games!
