Some are funny, some are serious and some seem just to be happy-go-lucky.
Cartoon characters are everywhere. And, if you've ever noticed, they all act just like us.
They wear clothing, go to work, and breastfeed their babies. We sometimes even use them as metaphors for everyday life — for instance, when we talk about working like a dog, or being scared out of your wits.
Mr. Peabody
Mr. Peabody is a dog who wears a top hat, monocle and cape, and is the smartest being in the world. He is also an anthropomorphic dog, who invents time travel machines and time cubes that allow him to travel back in time with his adopted son Sherman. His catchphrases include "Excellent!"
Brian Griffin
Brian Griffin, a white dog who is a family pet of the Griffins.
Brian is the Griffins' talking dog, and best friend. He is voiced by show creator Seth MacFarlane, who also provides the voices for many other characters on Family Guy.
Catscratch
Catscratch is a cartoon series that airs on the Cartoon Network and is created by Craig McCracken. It is about a group of cats who live in a fictional town called Lakewood Plaza Turbo.
Snoopy
Snoopy is a funny dog. He’s also real, and he lives in your neighborhood.

Pinky and the Brain
Pinky and the Brain is an American animated television series created by Tom Minton and David Wasson for Warner Bros. Animation.
The show follows a genius mouse, Pinky, and his friend, the idiotic Brain (who happens to be a genius), as they try to take over the world. Each episode features several short cartoons about their attempts to do this.
Foghorn Leghorn
Foghorn Leghorn is a cartoon character in the Warner Bros. He was created by Robert McKimson, who voiced the rooster and performed the character's signature laugh.
Foghorn is a Barnyard Dawg counterpart to Yosemite Sam: both are loud-mouthed Southern stereotypes with an affinity for violence and self-promotion (Foghorn also has some success as a swindler).
Sweetie Belle
Sweetie Belle, or Sweetie for short, is a white unicorn who is the younger sister of Apple Bloom and the older sister of Scootaloo. She is one of the six main characters on My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
Sweetie Belle is first seen in episode 1, "Friendship Is Magic" when Rarity takes her along with Apple Bloom and Scootaloo to buy their own outfits in town. There they meet Twilight Sparkle who tells them about Fluttershy's cottage where she lives with animals such as Angel and Owlowiscious.
Dewgong
Dewgong is a species of Pokémon, as well as one of the first "Legendary" level creatures you'll encounter in the game. It's a water/ice type, and it evolves from Seel when you level it up while holding an Amulet Coin. The only other way to get Dewgong is to breed two of them together.
Dewgong can also evolve into Articuno, Zapdos or Moltres once it reaches a certain level (level 36 for Articuno, level 55 for Zapdos and level 70 for Moltres).
Spunky
Spunky is a dog who first appears in the Nickelodeon animated television series Rocko's Modern Life. He is voiced by Carlos Alazraqui and one of Rocko's best friends. Spunky was born with an abnormally large head (approximately three times larger than normal) that causes him to be unable to walk or stand upright.
He wears diapers, sleeps in his crib and has a pacifier in his mouth much of the time. His size also makes him susceptible to being blown away by strong winds, which he usually does not mind since he finds it fun and exciting.
Lord Hater
Lord Hater is a feared and hated dictator who rules over the entire planet of the same name. He lives in his massive spaceship, The Mega-Mothership, which he calls "The Villain Armada".
He is one of two antagonists of Disney's Wander Over Yonder. He has been at odds with Wander since they were children.
Boris Badenov
Boris Badenov is a fictional character in the animated television series Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends, which aired on NBC from 1959 to 1964. Badenov is Russia's secret agent for America who works with his partner Natasha Fatale.
Webby Vanderquack
Webby Vanderquack is one of the main characters in DuckTales, voiced by Russi Taylor. She is Scrooge's niece and Donald's grandniece.
She is also a member of Junior Woodchucks, and she is friends with Huey, Dewey and Louie.
Danger Mouse
Danger Mouse is a British animated television series created by Terry Gilliam and Brian Cosgrove, and produced by Cosgrove Hall Films. The show has been broadcast in more than 100 countries and has been translated into 20 languages.
Quick Draw McGraw
Quick Draw McGraw is a fictional character in the Warner Bros. animated series, Looney Tunes. He was created by Robert McKimson and appeared in 17 shorts between 1959 and 1965.
McGraw's design was modeled after American actor John Wayne who, at that time, was considered to be one of the greatest movie Western stars of all time.
Ice Bear
Ice Bear is a polar bear and the youngest of the three brothers. He has a human name, Charlie, which he uses once in Season 1 Episode 9 “The Snow Show” when he tries to get his brothers to let him go swimming in the ocean because they said he couldn't.
Ice Bear is very passive and sensitive, which makes it easy for him to be manipulated by his older brothers Grizzly and Panda.
Mr. Whiskers
Mr. Whiskers is a cartoon character created by Hanna-Barbera Productions and introduced in 1965. Mr. Whiskers is a cat who is the best friend and owner of Brandy and Mr. Whiskers, a mouse. His name comes from his white whiskers which make him look like a cat that has recently eaten cheese or cream (the French word for "whisker" is "barbe").
Rupert
Rupert is a cartoon character created by John Hubley. He is a red anthropomorphic dog. He was the main character in the series The Rupert Show, which aired on NBC from 1976 to 1978 and PBS from 1978 to 1981.
Rupert is an adventurous and free-spirited dog who lives with his owner, Doctor Finklestein, in New York City's Greenwich Village neighborhood.
Droopy
Droopy is a cartoon character, a dog and the protagonist in several animated films. He is also known as The Happy Hound, because of his catchphrase "I'm so happy" (or other variants).
Buster Baxter
Buster Baxter is a male dog who is the main protagonist of the series Rocko's Modern Life.
Buster Baxter is a blue-eyed, gray-furred mixed breed dog with a pink nose and a curly tail.
He lives in O-Town with his best friend Rocko, whom he often annoys by being overly enthusiastic about everything he does. On his adventures, Buster travels all over town (and sometimes beyond) on his skateboard or rollerblades.
