Brazil Flag Colors

The flag of Brazil features green and yellow vertical bands separated by a white band. The green color is symbolic of the country's most important natural resource- its forests, while the yellow signifies mineral wealth. 

Blue represents the sky and the stars are supposed to represent the night sky with its multitude of stars. The blue circle also stands for the country's many states, or unidades federativas.

The flag's name is called "A Auriverde." It is a tricolor with blue, white, and green horizontal stripes. Blue stands for the sky of Brazil, green symbolizes its fields and forests, while yellow symbolizes its gold.

The globe has white swirling from top to bottom along with twenty-seven white five-pointed stars on the upper left quadrant. A white band rests on the outer-side of the green stripe between the blue globe and yellow rhombus.
