A white crucifix in the center divides the flag into four equal rectangles, with the national coat of arms in the center. The Bible in the center of the coat of arms opens with the verse “The truth will set you free” (John 8:32). The flag was designed by national hero Juan Pablo Duarte. It is a flag full of heroism and faith!
