The inscription “State of Oregon” and the date “1859” adorn the lower part of the flag. The reverse features a gold beaver, Oregon's official animal, completing the one-sided design of the flag.
The colors blue (#0033A0) and gold (#FFD700) reflect Oregon's state symbols and nature. Adopted in 1925, this flag is Oregon's only flag with a double-sided design, making it quite unique.
